Every Rocklands Mere Fishery Event is specifically catered to our client's need, whether you’re looking for a corporate event with a difference or a unique stag venue, RMF has the solution for you.
All our events include expert tuition with our GAIA qualified instructor, James Harrold, so complete beginners and experienced anglers alike can cast a fly to the rising fish.
Catering for your event can be talilor-made to suit you. We offer four standard catering options but these can easily be customised to your ideas and we can do anything from canapés and drinks parties to fully catered events such as our ultimate ‘Mayfly’ corporate event.
The Mayfly
Our premium event offering the ultimate fishing experience to you and your guests.
You’ll start the day with warm crusty bacon rolls and freshly brewed coffee before lessons with our instructor begin. You’ll break mid-morning for tea, coffee and homemade cakes and chance to network with your guests.
Lunch is a sit-down buffet of homemade and locally sourced produce served with wine and soft drinks. The afternoon is spent fishing at your leisure, interrupted only by afternoon tea and cakes.
The day is concluded with a sensational barbeque of local sirloin steaks and marinated RMF trout fillets served with salads and wine followed by dessert. Dinner is normally followed by awards for the best anglers and biggest catch of the day! You can then spend the evening relaxing by the lake, glass in hand, discussing the day’s fishing or trying you luck with the evening rise.
The Midge
The perfect daytime event, ideal for stag and birthday parties.
The day will begin with a fabulous sit-down barbeque of locally produced, top quality burgers served with salads and beer and wine, a perfect way to start your event . After lunch our expert instructor will begin tuition and before you know it you’re casting like a seasoned angler! After two hours of lessons you are free to fish for the remainder of the day and put those new casting skills into practice with a perfect evening rise. Afternoon tea and homemade cakes being the only disruption for you!
This event is also available as a breakfast and lunch option.
